The Roman Legionary Crescent War Gladius is constructed of carbon steel with a crescent shaped guard holding the blade. This Gladius has the authentic tapered point blade that excels at stabbing during thrusting. The blade is about 2 inches wide, it thins to 1.79 inches towards the top. A central ridge runs the full length of the blade, increasing its rigidity. The handle is stained hard wood with zinc bracers and a crescent pommel. Included is a leather sheath with belt loop.
