Medieval Leather Cat of Judgement Flogger

This cat has nine thongs that are constructed of plaited leather and knotted at the end for ultimate thrashing.  The top knot features a wrist loop while the wooden handle has braided leather with brass studs which leads to a leather transition knot. The cat o' nine tails, commonly shortened to the cat, is a type of multi-tailed whip that originated as an implement for severe physical punishment, notably in the Royal Navy and Army of the United Kingdom, and also as a judicial punishment in Britain and some other countries.
