This is an automatic out the front knife which means that the blade springs out from the top of the handle instead of swinging out of the side of the handle like in switchblades and stilettos. The switch to deploy the blade is on the pommel of the knife near the finger hole. Simply push the switch up and the blade will deploy. If you push the switch back down the blade will retract.
