The full tang of the blade is affixed to the simple natural wood handle with visible bamboo pegs that are sanded to a perfectly flush appearance and lacquered for a smooth shine. A pure brass habaki wraps around the base of the blade next to the handle. Included with this functional collector’s piece is a matching hardwood scabbard that smoothly meets the handle for an overall sleek and flush appearance.
