The blade of the sword measures 26.5 inches and has been constructed from high quality stainless steel with a visible Hamon (temper line) and it comes slightly sharpened. Inscribed into the steel of the blade is the Kanji "I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new”. The Saya (scabbard) is made from wood with a matte black finish and offers a traditional Sageo (Cord) which is used mostly for hanging. Carved into the scabbard are the Kanji for “Battle”. The handle of the sword is wooden w/ faux rayskin and is wrapped with a traditionally braided style black nylon cord. The black finish aluminum zinc alloy guard features an ornamental design depicting a dragon. A decorative black Habaki (blade collar) helps to keep the blade in position with the handle. Included with this gorgeous replica sword is a wooden stand you can use to proudly display your new piece.
