The body armor here consists of a cuirass with a set of pauldrons. A cuirass is a piece of armor formed of a single or multiple pieces of metal or other rigid material, which covers the front of the wearer's torso. This cuirass comes with a detachable back piece to complete torso protecting armor. The pauldrons cover the armpit, shoulder, upper arm, and sometimes parts of the back and chest. A pauldron typically consists of a single large dome-shaped piece to cover the shoulder (the "cop") with multiple lames attached to it to defend the arm and upper shoulder.
