While on the other hand, a bayonet was used for military purposes. It used a pointed instrument, much a like a dagger, attached to the muzzle of rifle. This weapon was handy for both offence and defense for the soldiers. So, a bayonet dagger is simply a dagger used as an extension for a musket or rifle.
