The flash light, its not bright, it's maybe as bright as a power on light on a tv or radio. Not bright, but.. it does unfold from the knife, be sure and unscrew the tip of the light and remove the paper that stops the batteries being drained, you'll need a thumb tac or something small like that to remove the paper. MY batteries were taped, but you'll get the idea. The knife, if it doesn't flick right out the first time, with assistance of course, remember, its NOT a switch blade. Work it in, it'll get easier. Mine flicked RIGHT out! Surprised me lol. Good quality and pretty sharp.
