Calming Spirit Iaito Training Katana | 1045 High Carbon Steel Full Tang Samurai Sword w/ Scabbard

This battle-ready training katana has been meticulously forged from expert artisans using 1045 high carbon steel. The sharpened blade has a beautifully polished finish with a traditional wave-like hamon and deep bohi. The full tang of the blade is affixed to the handle with visible bamboo pegs. A white faux ray skin leather covers the handle and is wrapped with an beige-colored polyester rope in a traditional Japanese ito style. A gold-toned dragon made from zinc alloy can be seen peeking from under the ito on either side of the handle. Zinc alloy is also used to create the gorgeous round black Tsuba that depicts a peaceful scene accentuated in gold, as well as other fittings that adorn this beautiful piece. Included with this collector’s piece is a matching hardwood scabbard that features the natural wood layers with a lacquer coating and a beige polyester sageo. A black dust cover is also included to keep your sword safe and protected from the elements when not in use.
