A Fauchard is a medieval pole weapon designed primarily for slashes and piercing blows, and was used commonly by European medieval foot soldiers between the 11th-17th centuries. This polearm gave foot soldiers an advantage against horseback riders due to its long reach. This stunning replica is carefully forged by hand using high carbon steel that has been tempered and treated to perfection. Featuring a curved 17-inch blade that tapers to a sharp point and a forward-facing hook along the spine. Wing-like spikes protrude from the shaft, and 2 holes are drilled into the mounting socket for easy and secure assembly.
